Which applications do Tawnies prefer? We'll take a look then. Post your fav applications for http/ftp browsing, image (viewing/editing+...) and so on. Apps you think others may like very much. I'll start off with

Site/code editor:php coder pro (http://www.phpide.de/) (great for any notepad like editing, colours etc)
Game browser: all seeing eye (http://www.udpsoft.com/eye2/index.html) (use the server list of xfire now more often though
Searching: when just google isn't enough, copernic (http://www.copernic.com/) combines the power of +15 search bots
Archiving/zipping: winRAR (http://www.rarlabs.com/)
Browsing: firefox (http://www.mozilla.org)
might-be-useful-app: webshots (http://www.webshots.com/), swap your desktop daily etc, lots of beautiful nature scenes etc at the site.
download program: Download Accelerator Plus (http://www.downloadaccelerator.com)
anti virus/firewall: Nod32 / ZoneAlarm
edit: you dont have to give one for each "category", come up with whatever app you can think of ;)

Everyone who has firefox HAS to get this plugin

Adblock (http://texturizer.net/firefox/extensions/#adblock)

extremely easy. Rightclick, block iframe, and those add frames are gone (no spacebetween top and logo). Also works for google/flash ads.
