I'm a GREAT french Sam&Max fan, and I'm desperately seeking for old sam&max comic books, wich were for me the Holy Bible of american caustic humor !!!
If anybody may be able to help me in this quest, please answer me, I don't know if I could find anyone of these amazing books !
Is their publication stopped in USA ? Is anyboody have an old comic book to sell ?

I actually have Sam and Max Freelance Police, the first one, in a plastic bag in my bedroom. My wife (then my girlfriend) bought it for me in 1987. I am curious what these are worth now!

Hello sam and max fans, I just wanted to let you know that right now mycomicshop.com has the 1989 comico sam and max for only 2.50 but they are out of stock on all others. I just bought the 1987 fishwrap one from them for only 3$ so, as hard to find as they are, they are not worth much. There is however a collection that can go for as much as 200$
I got my copy on ebay for 90$ + shipping and it contains almost every sam and max comic ever made (see comicography)
Just shooting it out there, dont be sad about them not being worth alot, just know that they are hard to find. Email me with any questions as I visit about 500 boards a day and might not view this one for a while.

I just bought a surfin the highway trade paperback with autograph and 2 one of a kind color pencil sketches in it for 50$ !
It also came with the sam and max sticker and an ultra rare shelftalker!
Then the next day I found the same book just 2nd edition and not signed for 6$ AFTER shipping! Just wanted to let you guys know.... let the jealousy insue!

i've been eating wheat thins off my copy for the past two months.
I am VERY happy to announce that I have almost EVERY comic in this comicography, well all but the fox kids mags. If anyone knows where they are let me know. Also I have many rare one of a kind color sketches by purcell in my comics and I just got the pins that are listed on here as well. WHOOT the comic search is almost over!

Urmm, your not from usa are you? It seems you need to beef up on your english. As for the christmas hellboy special. Its not very rare but will cost you a bit. Do you know which fox kids mags have those sam and max in them? Also if you do not know what adventurer is you are not a lucasarts nor a sam and max fan. This magazine came with alot of old lucasarts games and has many different things in them. If you see the pens in the merchandise section, this was an orderable item from that magazine.

Also he's well aware that Sam and Max are not in that comic, I believe he stated at some point on here that that particular comic is like the only thing Purcell ever did that he doesn't own. He collects it all.

I really want to collect all things purcell and it seems you are the guy to help me do it. I can easily help you get the hellboy with toybox (that really does rock) If you could help me with a comicography from purcell. I am trying to collect all things he has put out. I am glad to meet another strong purcell follower so please accept my truce so that mabye we can work together to get what we want. As for collection of the old game magazines, do you think i really want anything out of those BUT sam and max :) I couild care about the rest of that lame stuff. Also besides Fast Foward #3, the Hellboy Christmas Special, something he wrote with on with Mike Mignola that's superrare involving a lobster superhero, writing the Gumby and Pokey Christmas Special, the upcoming Spudvision, (yeah right) the LucasArts games, the cartoon, and the already existing Sam and Max comics, I think everything is covered.
He might have done some early inking work or some bull**** for one of the piss-on comic corporate giants like Marvel, but almost every comic artist has and it's barely worth your time.
Yea thats almost all of the main stream ones minus defends of dynatron city, and the rest of , as you say lamer comics those are the ones I was talking about. Steve has done many back covers and such. So adventurer 5 is in monkey island eh? Interesting! I will have to check it out. For hellboys xmas special mycomicshop.com has it in 4 different conditions ranging from 16-60$ I got mine for 20$ in a store here and its NM condition. Hope that helps

Mile high is good, mycomicshop is better. Also there is only one comic listed not three. Well not that I can see. 1989 comico. Let me know which others there were. I have got 2 comics from them 1987 fishwrap and 1989 comico, but that was over time in the past and I dont see those now.
