Thanks to the new beta regional pricing a few things have come down to acceptable levels on steam for those of us outside the US.

http://store.steampowered.com/?localizedcurrency=1)

It is also nice not having to use google to convert the currency and then add 15% for the tax.

So I bought myself:

I have people to play it with, so I don't really have any problems with it. *shrug*

It is a very good game though, we've already had some pretty epic moments. This inspired me to make yon sig below ↓

I actually had to edit out louis' and francis' hair, because the art I used for it released on the website is still using the old design (link (http://www.l4d.com/images/screens/wallpapers/survivors1600x1200.jpg)). I added in some head shine for louis to match with the rest of it. Hopefully it looks right.

I found that hosting a server (on your own computer) is relatively easy - just go to play with friends, press host, then make it public (if that was what you were looking for). Useful if you want to spawn neverending hordes on an unsuspecting group of survivors. :dev7:

I bought myself a traditional wooden hunting bow.

Its ****ing sweet. Although now I have to figure out some way to make a decent target. I tried using an old door for a target and the arrows went right through it :|

Hobos. Years of sorrow on the streets have toughened their skin into leather. Plus, they have enough fear of death in them to keep them on the chase, but a lack of nutrients and hope ensures they never move too quick.

$10 at Target, best "Nerf" dart gun ever.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v123/Tie23/th_mahshotgun.jpg) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v123/Tie23/mahshotgun.jpg)

Buzz Bee Toys Double Shot dart gun, total awesome in a orange, green, and yellow package. Shoots nicely, hurts a little at close range, great for Mafia style kills on your siblings, parents, or complete strangers. The kicker is that it comes with shells that you load into it, and when you fire both shots off the shells eject, totally awesome. :V

In my never ending quest to outdo myself in the "holycrapawesome gift for girlfriend" category (I got her a heart shaped meteorite pendant for Thanksgiving) I just got my girlfriend a promise ring that I plan to give her for Christmas. This is no ordinary promise ring, mind you. I got her an ancient celtic bronze ring unearthed ten years ago from the Roman Legion occupied area in Vidin Bulgaria. Based on its design it most likely dates from shortly after the fall of the Western Roman Empire to the beginning of the medieval age.

Oddly enough I have already considered the possibility that the ring is, in fact, haunted given the fact that, you know, it's probably spent the better part of 1200 years on a corpse's hand.

Fortunately she digs that kinda stuff. Thank you for your concern though.

Preordered the Coheed & Cambria Neverender 4 DVD 4 CD Box set (http://coheedandcambria.com/neverender) for $130 shipped.

Coheed & Cambria did a concert series called Neverender, 4 nights, one CD played live in it's entirety from front to back each night. This includes a DVD and CD for each night, as well as a Dragonfly, and since I ordered before Dec. 16, I got my name in the Children of the Fence book that's included.

Very very happy, can't wait til March 3 for it to ship :)

Ok, so I get these random fits of insomnia where, despite my best efforts to sleep, I simply can't. So after 3 hours of lying in my bed doing nothing, I hopped onto the interwebs and started browsing random youtube/collegehumor videos to keep me entertained. Now I know I'm late to the party on this one, but I stumbled across this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ddn4MGaS3N4). Now, I don't normally listen to the softer stuff, but god damn, that song really blew me away. So I decided to, ehem, acquire the cd it's on.

I've been getting custom mouse pads out of china for that price for going on two years now. Did I neglect to tell you guys? I've got a stack of Vaders, some Star Wars Rock Band ones and even a Schroedinger's Cat one. :D They are VERY high quality. Expect a couple week wait though.

As for my definition of a promise ring: "A Promise Ring is a ring that is given before an engagement ring, promising that the proposal is coming soon."

Isn't that the fairly universal definition of it?

I always thought it meant "I promise I will be nice to you as long as you continue to put out"
