What do you think about the idea of a "criminal civ" ??
Something like Black Sun or the Hutts !!
In such a civ, you could include lots of cool aliens that people like, but aren't important enough for their own civ !!
Guys like Quarrens, Twi'lekks (right spelling??) and others !!
Maybe Jawas as techs or something !!

That's a cool idea, and for the Hutts, they would hire people to do the fighting for them. Perhaps there could also be small groups fighting each other like Talon Karddes(sp?) group against some other group.
I personally would prefer others, but why didn't you post it in the other thread?

Yeah, you could hire smugglers and stuff. Then smuggle in troops behind enemy lines and attack them with their pants down:D

- Infantry : Different thugs (Rodians, Quarrens:band: , )
- mecha-class :swoop gangers, maybe some old, stolen AT-PTs or something
air : Run-down Correlian freighters, RJ 41s ...
problem could be their Jedi/Sith in terms of SW continuty
On the other hand, they could have real strong (maybe even strongest ??) Bounty Hunters

How about they could use a Dark Jedi in place of the jedi/sith.
Maybe some kinda paid force adepts .
Well, I know it's not SW, but looking at D & D, it seems that any rogue group can somehow find a mage, so it should be possible for someone like Jabba to do the same ...

Yeah I was looking at the D20 SW Rpg and basically I take Dark Jedi are like hired thugs.

About the other classes, naval units are ones which not many civs in star wars have anyways, except maybe 1 or 2, so they'd just have to dream something up.
They're special unit could be a special mercenary that could destroy troops easily and could capture building and have long range and be low priced or something like that.
The merc's would probably have to die pretty easily, if they would have all that
Yeah, they would have low HP and be relatively slow.
