Its about Dhamon who has a dragon scale on his leg which has cursed him who is trying to get it healed

The Great Train Robbery is a great book. It's not science fiction, but it's a really good story nonetheless.

Those are in the front of prey, and I wondered if they are any good and what are they about.
I must say that Congo and The Sphere are examples of two books that were DEFINATELY better than the movies. The movies ruined the both of them.

I loved eaters of the dead.
Its been years since I read it.... but a psychologist is the main character and he gets called in to investigate a "plane crash" that turns out to be a spaceship that's been under the sea for centuries, covered in coral.
After the investigators get into it, all hell breaks loose.
That's about all I can remember. I *do* remember that when I read the book, I couldn't put it down, but when I saw the movie I was willing to leave the theater to hit the john and grab another coke.
Go read my first pick on page 1 of this thread instead. You can pick it up at a used book store in trade paperback for about $5 or less.

Actually, I'm working on a Carl Sagan collection (as well as Dawkins, Gould, and Feynman). He was very prolific science writer prior to his death, as was his wife, Anne Druyan. His writing is very much for the lay-person, too. Not solely for the science crowd.

Andromeda strain is VERY entertaining, it's about a group of scientists trying to learn about a highly deadly strain of virus that arrived from space.
Airframe was also a really good book, not science fiction, but a pretty good mystery/thriller.
Congo and Sphere, like Skin said, were fantastically better than the movies. The movies sucked, but the books were AWESOME.
The other ones I have not read yet.

Bought Congo, Andromeda Strain, Terminal Man, and Great Train Robbery all for 4 bucks. I checked out Lost world and Jurassic park from the library. also, John Stossel's Give me a Break. I'm currently reading that and it is a very good book. Intelligent, and gives you a better understanding of the world of media. I suggest it.

I just reread the entire Hannibal Lecter trilogy. I recomend them if you want to read about criminal psychology. It's pretty interesting and entertaining.

Most people who didn't read the book enjoyed the movie. But if you've read the book you get really pissed off at the movie, because it's like they didn't even care about making it as cool as the book.
yeah, I ahvent read congo yet (but I will in a week) but with timeline, I tought the movie was ok, but when I read the book, I see how much cooler it could have been.
Finished Jurrassic Park. Great book. My fav Crichton book so far. Also finihsed Stossels book. Also good. very smart and gives you another look on things. I recommend them both.
Batman the dark knight returns!! thats a great graphic novel...if u are only gonna read one batman make it that one!! he beats superman's a** in the end!! lol

werdage. CoN is damn amazing, CS Lewis was great friends with Tolkien and it is commonly known that the 'Treebeard' character was a tribute to Lewis, as he was an imposing fellow with a booming voice :)
Check out the original animated series if you come across them...nice stuff :D

Pretty much everyone I asked recommended this as the best place to start, with R.A Salvatore's Drow/Dark Elf character Drizzt Do'Urden being one of the series most unforgettable characters... Im really looking forward to reading these ! :D I recommend getting the trilogy in the extremely cool box set, rather than the 3-in-1 book.... :D
After Im done with all that I'll probably be able to read Tim Zahns Survivors Quest in paperback(I hate reading hardcovers), which will be my fisrt SW book since the NJO finale The Unifying Force

3. Dreamcatcher- Steven King (the book is better than the movie)
4. Odd Thomas- Dean Koontz (man can see dead people and solves their murders)
5. The Da Vinci Code-Dan Brown ( I hope everyone knows this one, really good book I thought. Makes you think!)
