I've found some fancy sabers to choose from but they won't work in some Jedi Academy(multiplayer) games.

Is there a way I can see if a game accepts these mods before I JOIN.

That means:

1. You didnt put it in base properly

2. You are trying to play on a pure server

3. If its a saber hilt mod the server has to have the file you are using

Gonna try your mods.
Still in two minds about the ethics of mods.
Depends on opponent i think.
If opponent uses them then they're fair game!

P.S. know of any other decent, respectable places to get mods?

Nothing is officialy supported by either Raven or Lucasarts (and that even goes as far as the patch and mappack).

Um dude, those stuff aint made by neither Lucas Arts nor Raven :p

oh well ok putting it simpler i dont download stuff that it says at the bottom that this modefication is not supported by blah blah blah ok thats all im saying

Actually, all mods HAVE to have that in the bottom, as stated by Lucasarts and Raven Software.
