Ok I have done alot of skinning in other game types but not with this engine. I have d/l ed the raven tools pak but for some reason I cant seem to get the zipped up finished skin back to a pk3 format. I am really stumped,. so if any of you peeps could help me out with either a more indepth tutorial or just spell it out for me I would really be grateful.

It's a good idea to Search the forum first to see if the answer to your question is already here. The game has been out for six months so you might have to go back more than the last 30 days.

There is a thread on tutorials here (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=121102).

I found this one for Jedi Outcast to be very educational:
http://www.theforce.net/games/jo/skinning.shtml)

I read the tutorial and it was all I needed to make my very first skin. You can see it here (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=125913).

Thanks for the advice, and the tut. I'll be reading it soooon. my bigest problem was in the raven tools the tut they have seems to work until i get to the end, I can't seem to get the finished skin back to a pk3 file. I tried renaming it but it still shows as being a zip file. any help would be great. I did a search here for pk3 but nothing was related to this that I found.
Thanks again.....Ro'Nin

Make sure you have "hide extensions" off. That way you can truly rename the file to a .pk3...
