kvan, i actually have a 95mb demo from pcgamer of real war. they actually used that game as a means of training actual u.s. military personnel. the graphics are amazing, the most realistic graphics of a realistic rts game i've seen.....

Hey Trigit,
welcome..

i'd finish it a couple of times actually. just to train a bit before i slug it out in multiplayer.

but my guess is i'll do some heavy multiplayer with a friend the day it comes out.

If it's what i expect i'm good for at least a year with it, a prolonged life if the ex-pack adds real depth to it.

look at AOE2; that came out what, late '99 early 2000 ?
the community is still going ape over it and it's still in the Top 20 sales-lists world-wide. I reckon it must be one of the most succesful games of all-time.

GB will benefit from Episode 2 as well, I'm sure. We'll see an expansion-pack on Ep2-units too, no doubt.

I'm pretty sure I can beat it in a matter of days, depending on how much time I put into it. Afterwards though, it is all dependant on the MP action for me. The main reasons I personally buy games is to play on the Net.

my main reason is for MP too, but i don't play on the net yet.

come to think of it, most games i play are multiplayer.

I'll play it after AOM comes out, cause i probably won't get that. But...after FFX comes out, there is no garuntee that i won't stop everthing else completely. I'm sure i'll pick it up again after that though.

I think Battlegrounds will be a complete saga. There are SO MANY species in Star Wars to publish at least 3 vey good games.

Ther are plenty of species, but not enouh of them have enough units, and a larger part of them don't have a decent story to tell in campaign.

And another one returns from the grave yard.

Was that Real War game ever any good? I like sudden strike, and to me that is the hardest and most realistic RTS I have everplayed, and I saw Real War the other day at Best Buy for cheap. I have heard some bad reviews, anyone know?
