What is the little icon that appears on your desktop simply titled with a tilde? Here's a screen if you don't know what i'm talking about:

Does anyone know what it does and how it got there?
Yeah, i also get it sometimes, usally happens when moving files or renaming files.
It just becomes a ~ by itself.
I just had downloaded mods for JA when I noticed it so you can see why i'm interrogating. I hope it's not spyware or something. :(

I just made in hidden, that way it'll still be there but it won't be cluttering up my desktop
Its probally a file extension that hasnt been set to open with anything or that you have deleted something on behind that icon. So either open it and choose a progran to open it with or take alook in your folders of what that could be.
