PNG help

When I open up the png files (for example the torso2.png from the jedi_hm folder) Photoshop 7.0 shows the border of the suit as transparent.


Do I need a plug-in or something to make it appear?

JA uses .png images instead of tga's for alpha (transparent) images. Basically in game a shader is shown where the transparent area is.

If you don't want the transparent area then just skin over it - unfortunately if you want to see the image with the shader like you do in game I don't think you can.

Actually I found a patch somewhere that shows the Alpha channel to be displayed so now those sections are visible in PS.


I also thought it was a shader but it's not, it's part of the PNG file, you just can't see it with PS unless you find this lil patch.
